Urban Center – Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – Milan

The fourteenth edition of the Premio Compasso Volante proposes the theme of the urban block, with the design of a multifunctional building in via Palermo in Brera, in Milan city center, with the aim of contributing to the refurbishment of an abandoned area, strangely neglected by all strategic plans of requalification. Because of its subject matter, it becomes the occasion, also welcome to the Local Council, to organize an exhibition in the space dedicated to territorial development projects of Milan, the Urban Center in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The exhibition, curated by Marco Imperadori, reminds of a technological and bright building yard, “smart” as the architectures designed by students in an interdisciplinary workshop, international, which involved the Politecnico di Milano, the University of Palermo, the Kogakuin University of Tokyo, Singapore Polytechnic and the Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta.
